Preparations
In Brazil, the leaves of Cipó Cabeludo are traditionally taken in the form of a tincture or infusion (tea). For the infusion, half a cup is taken 2 times daily.
To prepare an infusion of Cipó Cabeludo, place 1 tsp. of the powdered leaves in a tea ball or gauze bag and allow the powder to steep in 8 oz. of freshly boiled hot water in a covered pot for 10–15 minutes. Pour the infusion through a fine strainer to remove any sediment and allow it to cool for a time before drinking. Refrigerate unused portions in a well-sealed container.
