Jatobá (Hymenaea courbaril) bark – 32 oz. (1 kg.) bulk powder. 

Bulk orders are prepared once a week (Thursdays). Each order is prepared in the order it is received. Cut-off time for bulk orders is each Thursday at 10 AM. Orders received after 10 AM ship the following week. Thank you for your understanding.

Preparations

The bark of Jatobá is traditionally prepared as a decoction. A suggested dosage is 1 cup, 1 to 3 times daily. 

To prepare a decoction of Jatobá, 1 tsp. of the powdered bark is used for each 8 oz. of water. Using medium-high heat, bring water to a boil in an open ceramic pot and then add the powder. Reduce the heat to medium-low and place the lid on the pot. Allow the mixture to simmer for 20 minutes. Pour the mixture through a fine strainer and allow it to cool for a time before drinking. Refrigerate unused portions in a well sealed container.
