Cat's claw Bulk Powder

Cat's Claw (Uncaria tomentosa) inner stem bark – bulk powder. 

Bulk orders are prepared once a week (Thursdays). Each order is prepared in the order it is received. Cut-off time for bulk orders is each Thursday at 10 AM EST. Orders received after 10 AM EST ship the following week. Thank you for your understanding.

Preparations

Cat’s Claw is taken in the form of a decoction, tincture, extract, and in capsules. In Peru, the inner bark is traditionally prepared by decoction and taken at a dosage of 1 cup, 2 times daily. 

To prepare a decoction of Cat’s Claw, use 2 tsp. of the powdered inner bark for each 8 oz. of water. Using medium-high heat, bring water to a boil in an open ceramic pot and then add the powder. Reduce the heat to medium-low and place the lid on the pot. Allow the mixture to simmer for 20 minutes. Pour the mixture through a fine strainer and allow it to cool for a time before drinking. Refrigerate unused portions in a well- sealed container.
